Truth

Truth

As I drift in a raft to that endless sea,

I visualize thoughts as my friends saw me.

The world was my audience, silent and proud.

I came to life in a snow-white shroud.

Act one I was innocent childhood play.

I gathered and sorted thoughts each day.

With whims and fads, I grew into youth.

Searching to find all those hidden truths.

I wanted to find them without a fight.

Shouldn’t truths always be black and white?

Clouded confusion inhibited my search,

And truths were gray like the bark of birch.

I struggle so hard to find truth in my life;

Yet, still I am drifting while in flesh filled with strife.

Perhaps my search has just begun,

And I will find truth in the morning sun.
