Miracles

Isn’t it grand how God can take

Dirty, dismal, heartbreaking stakes

And make them wonders to behold

Like nature’s little pots of gold.

The greatest wonder of them all

Was giving up a Son so small.

Even this most wasteful part

Became a gift from God’s great heart.

Aging bodies forfeit health,

Flexibility, energy, sometimes wealth.

But Spiritual growth will come real fast

By working through what’s in the past.

The challenge that our soul must make

Is living hard, heartbreaking stakes

And finding miracles hidden there.

Take and beat life’s double dare!
